8-10 – 30ft lengths of natural fiber rope. A suspension ring or at least 4 caribiners.

Presenter Bios:
LolaKoala identifies as a queer, gender queer, rope switch and has been tying for 5 years. Their biggest passion is finding new and creative ways to hurt people, especially when in rope.

Princess-Yum-Yum is a rope switch who enjoys all aspects of bondage. She started with rope 3 years ago and began tying just over a year ago. Her biggest draw to rope is its ability to pull her from her reality and focus solely on the act of tying or being tied.

Futomomos! (With Suspension Exercise) – instructed by ThisDude

  • Saturday August 10, 10:00 AM at the Denver Sanctuary
  • Instructor: ThisDude
  • Cost: $5 per person.

Futomomos are an incredibly useful tie, and they are not complicated to learn. This class will focus on their use in suspensions, including a single futo inversion. Anyone is welcome to follow along and practice during the ground work and partials portion. Being that the inversion does include a transitional suspension, ThisDude or one of the TA’s will need to sign off on your chest harness, futo and load line management before you go into a full suspension. A single futo inversion is a challenging tie for bottoms. ThisDude will cover ways to make the this more sustainable however, we do not recommend using this class as anyone’s first suspension experience either as top or bottom. If you don’t feel comfortable doing this during the class we are more than happy to provide more one one assistance during the open lab time which follows the class.

ThisDude has kinda become known for using futos in most all of his rope work.  He joined FetLife to meet others into rope bondage and started getting active in Colorado’s rope community about 6 years ago. Now he helps give back what he has learned through the rope bite events.

Requirement for the ground and partials
  • Confidence with a single column.
  • 4-5 aprox. 8 meter lengths of rope.
  • Ring or carabiners for partials.
Additional requirements for suspension
  • know a suspension worthy chest harness
  • be comfortable with load line management
  • enough rope for said chest harness and load line plus 4-5 lengths

The 101 class begins at 7pm and goes for about an hour. We have open rope after that until 9. The cost is $5 per person. You need an ID stating you are 18+ to be admitted. The Bakery Arts Warehouse is located at 2132 Market St in downtown Denver.

Tension, Frictions, and Hitches – instructed by VoldsamAmore

Come out and join us on Saturday August 27 from 10:00am-12:00pm as VoldsamAmore instructs a class on Tension, Frictions, and Hitches at The Denver Sanctuary.

Do you know a lot of beautiful and intricate rope patterns but can’t seem to get the tensions right? Are you having trouble locking off your rope and creating tightness and durability in your ties? If so, this class is perfect for you. VoldsamAmore will be running through drills aimed at improving your tension in rope. He will also be teaching different types of frictions and hitches that you can use to increase the strength and durability of your ties. This two hour class will be a hands on class full of drills meant to help your ties become stronger, tighter, and more solid. Tension, friction and hitches are three fundamental components of bondage, so if you feel this is an area you need to improve upon, please come out and learn!

For this class, you will need 4-6 pieces of 25-30 foot rope. No rigging hardware is necessary.

Cost is $5 per person for the class and everyone must have an ID proving they are at least 18 years old. If you have not been to the Denver Sanctuary before and are interested in joining us, please e-mail us at DenverRopeBite@gmail.com
