No Top? No Problem. How to Fly Solo (An Intro to Self Suspension) – Instructed by Princess Yum-Yum and LolaKoala

Skill Level: Beginner

Description:

Learn basic wraps and up line management to get yourself in the air, no knots, no patterns! We will explore the safety needed to self suspend as well as talk about philosophy behind it.

Prerequisites:
Knowledge of a single column and y-knot. Basic suspension knowledge requested but not required. Knowledge of your own body.

Equipment Needs:
8-10 – 30ft lengths of natural fiber rope. A suspension ring or at least 4 caribiners.

Presenter Bios:
LolaKoala identifies as a queer, gender queer, rope switch and has been tying for 5 years. Their biggest passion is finding new and creative ways to hurt people, especially when in rope.

Princess-Yum-Yum is a rope switch who enjoys all aspects of bondage. She started with rope 3 years ago and began tying just over a year ago. Her biggest draw to rope is its ability to pull her from her reality and focus solely on the act of tying or being tied.
